Healthy Meals, Bright Futures – Daily Nutrition Program

At the Hope Fountain Primary School Feeding Program, over 750 children receive a nutritious meal every day. The head of the school reported to VANA that attendance is now almost 100% because for many children, this meal may be the only one they receive that day. The program not only motivates children to come to school, but also provides them with the nutrition they need to focus and learn effectively.

The impact has been remarkable. Teachers see children more attentive, engaged, and eager to participate in lessons. With food in their stomachs, students are able to concentrate better and achieve more academically. Some children even save all or a portion of their meal to take home and share with their families—another reminder of just how vital this program is to both the children and their wider households.
