The Impact of Child Sponsorship

Child sponsorship is one of the most powerful ways people partner with VANA and our project partners in Zimbabwe. It’s not simply about meeting a need today, it’s about helping rebuild the foundations of a child’s life so they can grow into the future with confidence, identity and hope.

Many of the children supported through VANA have experienced deep challenges. Some have lost parents. Others are growing up in communities where poverty, unemployment and instability make everyday life difficult. Without support, these circumstances can limit opportunities and shape how a child sees themselves and their future.

Child sponsorship helps change that story.

Through VANA’s sponsorship program, children gain access to practical support such as education, school supplies, meals, medical care and community programs. These resources provide the stability that many vulnerable children need to continue attending school and growing in healthy environments.

Sponsorship helps rebuild those foundations.

Many of the young people who have grown up in VANA-supported communities are now continuing into further education, employment and leadership within their communities. What began as support during childhood becomes the foundation for a life of opportunity.
